Sainte Foy Ski Resort is about 4km above Sainte Foy village, and is the jewel in the crown of the Tarentaise Valley. The ski resort of Sainte Foy offers intimate skiing in a scenic and wonderful natural environment. Sainte Foy is a beautiful, friendly family resort of great charm and style, yet also caters for the powder hungry off-piste experts with a huge off piste area.
All of the properties are built with local stone and wood and, although a relatively new resort village, it has bags of character. The location of Sainte Foy presents the opportunity to visit several larger ski areas, should you wish to do so, and with a 6 day Sainte Foy ski pass you qualify for a preferential rate in Val d’Isere & Tignes (Espace Killy), Les Arcs and La Plagne (Paradiski), la Rosiere, La Thuile (Espace San Bernard)…. with combined pistes of around 1000kms!! – all only 20 mins to 30 mins drive away.
The Local Ski Resorts – distance:
Les Arcs and the Paradiski Domain (with La Plagne), via Villaroger: 7km
Tignes and the Espace Killey Domain (with Val d’Isere): 20km
La Rosiere and the Espace San Bernardo Domain (with La Thuile in Italy): 16km
Sainte Foy has quiet, well-groomed pistes as well as famous off-piste routes to the infamous 1,700m vertical drop of the north face of Fogliettaz and the farming hamlet of Le Monal. Snowboarders are spoilt for choice with local and extensive off-piste areas, which lasts for ages on the north-west slopes. See the details of a new piste for this coming season.
This jewel of the Alps is the ideal resort for families, beginners and experienced skiers alike. In addition, its relative quiet and simple nightlife makes it the perfect place for groups and families who are looking for a bit of relaxation and escapism.
Throughout the year, there is also plenty to do: golf, fishing, white water rafting, mountain biking, hiking, climbing, hunting, summer skiing in Tignes, swimming….the list goes on. Visitors and residents love Sainte Foy. They love its special small village ambience and family friendliness. They love its beauty. They love its off-piste expanses. If they want a change of scenery, they can drive to any one of the larger nearby resorts for a ‘big ski resort fix’. The outdoor life activities in ‘Des Grands Domaines’ will fulfill you and your family’s enjoyment for lifetimes to come!
There are no high rise buildings, just chalet style properties that incorporate authentic Savoyard features such as round stone columns, stone slab roofs and plenty of wood.
The TGV station at Bourg St Maurice is 30 mins away.
